The Cooperstown Community Band is a variety of talented musicians from the Central New York State area, and is represents members from many area towns and villages. They range in age from 11 to 80+ and all have one thing in common: they love music, and they love to perform that music for their audience. The band plays a variety of music: patriotic selections, marches, show tunes, novelty songs, Dixieland, jazz, movie themes, you name it. Just about every performance includes a stirring John Philip Sousa march or two.

Bandelions, a trio consisting of Paul Weber, Doug Davidson-Parry, and Tom Hohensee. What they have in common is a great love of music, particularly the classic folk/rock of the 70’s. What they also have in common is they are all members of the Cooperstown Lions Club. For the past few years, they have performed at Mel’s@ 22 on Thursday nights where they donate their tips to a special needs fund for the Lions Club. Over $4,000 has been raised and that has been distributed to local individuals & families who find themselves in difficult situations.

The Scott Freeman Band is a quartet playing a diverse repertoire of classical, jazz, oldies. Irish and pop music.  A Half Century of Music and A Whole Evening of Entertainment.

Heavens Back Door features Michael Levenstein, Charlie Reiman and Carol Mandigo on guitar, harp and vocals.  The trio performs a funky mix of traditional acoustic blues and original tunes reminiscent of Reverend Gary Davis and Hot Tuna.  If you love blues roots music, Heaven’s Back Door is open wide, so come on in!

MarcBlack plays a finger style blues in the traditions of Mississippi Hurt and the great Tim Hardin.  A proud road warrior, he was inducted into the New York Chapter of the Blues Hall of Fame in June of 2014.  As WFUV DJ, John Platt wrote about Marc’s song, Sing for the Silenced, “this is a song we need to hear even more than ever now.” Marc has performed and recorded with Art Garfunkel, Taj Mahal, Richie Havens, Rick Danko and Pete Seeger to name a few.  He was recently named Folk Artist of the Year on ABC Radio, and a winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival.  Marc’s song, No Fracking Way, recorded with John Sebastian, has become a worldwide anthem for the movement.  His Pictures of the Highway CD has reached #6 on the Folk DJ Chart, and his you tube videos have been viewed more than 100,000 times!  He has been very involved in several campaigns for social and environmental justice, including his multimedia campaign, Sing for the Silenced and his current call for political engagement, We Will Sing and Beat the Drum .In the words of folk legend, Happy Traum, “Marc is a master at spreading the joy of music.”

The Realtime Dixieland Band made their first appearance on the bandstand in Cooperstown during the summer of 2017. Since then they have been performing throughout the central New York state area to rave reviews.  The repertoire RTD performs is authentic style Dixieland Jazz. The group is happy to be back on the Cooperstown bandstand this summer.

D’Funk’D is a 9 piece pop horn band featuring pop, funk, dance, R&B and soul music from the 1970’s through today.
